Chapter 17 - I'll be right here

The ship, the mostly unappreciated yet undeniable emblem of the city of Johannesburg, was gone. The skyline seemed strangely blank. Even after sundown Black Jack had barely looked away from his window at the empty twilight sky. Ana exchanged one worried look with Kyler before going in the bathroom to get the dirt and  traces of blood off herself, and inside she realized she could hardly recognize the woman looking back at her from beyond the mirror.
After a shower she went back to the couch, where she sat next to Kyler to watch the images that were now showing on every station, just a bunch of shotsDistrict 9 - PoHA 17 by ~suthnmeh
PoHA RP - Ch 01CHAPTER 1 - SMELL A RAT

Something always smells in the district. Litter and rotting pieces of pig carcass thrown about are the obvious reason. Something always smells not necessarily in the literal sense too. There's the occasional neighborhood murder; a neighbor, there one day, suddenly gone the next, detained perhaps.

But today something really reeks. The stench is revolting even to the poleepkwa, already stirring in their shacks, ready to face the challenge of a new day; most unready for the sight and smell of the carcass rotting away among a heap of trash, giving out a sort of chemical odor even the flies avoid.

Kelly had turned around when the human, the MNU guard began to speak, and her large form had tensed up noticeably when a gun had been aimed at Ian. She wasted no time in moving in front of her adoptive son, so that should the human fire, she would be the one to take the shot. A few strange, cough-like sounds came out of her throat, before her deep voice sounded again. Albeit instead of the deep, blubbery alien language, actual English words were heard. They needed to hurry. The hour had probably almost passed if it hadn't already, and they still needed to get to the bridge. Michael's mate could arrive any moment and they didn't want to be left behind.
Meanwhile, Ana spoke on her phone as they trotted through  open ground, keeping away from the road.
"Ana?" said Syrup's voice. "Where have you been? I've been calling your cell phone for two days."
"Syrup! Syrup, listen, this is gonna sound weird. Is there somewhere a few friends and I can stay for a few days?"
"Stay?"
"Look, I- it's kind of a very long story."
"Hmm. Can you give me a summary?"

I'm attracted by so many types of art that I can't seem to make up my mind and just specialize in one XD That may be a bad thing or a very very good thing. I've always felt like I didn't have a personal style because of this :P Of course others have contradicted me. Your comment made me happy, person!! :la: Thanks so much for it!
